    ET Bureau
When Munish Doshi was in school, visiting his father Pravin Doshi's construction sites would give him great joy. It was this excitement that made him join his father's real estate business — Acme Housing India — after doing his MBA from Mumbai's SP Jain Institute of Management Studies.

Having over a decade's experience in the industry now, Doshi, managing director of Acme, says that the company boasts a good mix of projects that range from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 50 crore. "We haven't bracketed ourselves to any category unlike other players," says Doshi, who is currently busy with putting finishing touches to his new project — Acme Boulevard.

The six-tower high-rise facility locatedin JVLR, Andheri(E), has been designed by Australian architectural firm Woods Bagot. This is also a 'green' building with aspects — raw materials that are environmentally friendly, flat layouts that discourage using more electricity, portable water in bathrooms, etc — that have been executed in consultation with the Godrej group.

The complex offers 2, 2.5 and 3BHK luxury residences with amenities that reflect a global lifestyle. While a club house and swimming pool have become a necessity now, Doshi says they have attempted to provide a close knit community feel to the place.

So, there is a large amphitheatre where people can do yoga, a library for children, a deck with telescope and so on. The starting price for the project is Rs 1.63 cr-Rs 2.18 crore (invitation price). Over the years Doshi has developed the Acme group in terms of turnover and asset value by undertaking extensive vertical and horizontal expansion. He has also been an active member and a treasurer at MCHI-CREDAI's Thane Unit and is associated with The Lions Club of Juhu.

Some of the group's upcoming and ongoing projects include the Acme Avenue (Kandivali West), Stadium View (Andheri West), Acme Ozone (Thane) and Acme Aurum (Kandivali West).

"All the projects we do have a premium look and finish. And, whatever we commit, we deliver," says the 44-year-old, who looks up to real estate giant Niranjan Hiranandani as his idol. Doshi adds, "It's (real estate) a creative field. Making something you have dreamt of is very satisfying."
