STAMFORD, Conn. - Mary Jackson Talbot of Stamford, died Saturday, March 16. She was 89.
Talbot was born June 12, 1923, in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Cecil Franklin and Sallie Gibbs Jackson. She worked for E.I. duPont de Nemours & Co. in Wilmington, Del. Later, she worked as an assistant to the editor at Blair & Ketcham’s Country Journal magazine in Manchester, Vt. She raised her family along with her husband, living in Pennsylvania, Vermont, and later on Cape Cod, Mass.
Talbot is survived by her children, Christopher M.(Lisa) Talbot of East Aurora, N.Y. and daughter Susan (Michael) Talbot Munnelly of Stamford; sister, Bernice Hause of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore; siblings, Frank, Billie Lou, and Richard.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6 at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 2810 Long Ridge Road, Stamford, Conn.
