Tyson Foods Inc. (TSN) Set A 5-Month High After Q4 Profit Beat Expectations

Tyson Foods Inc. (TSN) reported fourth quarter adjusted earnings per share from continuing operations of $0.87 Monday morning, which topped the consensus estimate of $0.76. The company expects to report full year 2015 adjusted earnings of $3.30 to $3.40 per share. Analysts are expecting EPS of $3.33.

Tyson Foods gapped open sharply higher Monday and advanced further during the second half of the morning. The stock closed up by 2.37 at $43.03 on above average volume. Tyson Foods closed challenging resistance, trading at over a 5-month high.
