Piedmont Natural Gas (PNY) Is Pulling Back After Q2 Revenues Fell Short

Piedmont Natural Gas (PNY) reported second quarter EPS of $0.84 after the bell Friday, compared to $0.80 in the previous year. Revenues declined 8% to $424.9 million from $462.2 million a year ago. Analysts expected EPS of $0.79 and revenues of $488.8 million. Full year 2015 EPS is expected to be between $1.82 and $1.92. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $1.86. The stock is now down 1.93 on 5K shares.

Piedmont Natural Gas gapped open lower Friday, but was range-bound throughout the session. Shares finished with a loss of 0.33 at $36.04. The stock closed testing support, trading at a 3-week low.
