Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK.A) Boosts Investment In DIRECTV (DTV), Visa Inc (V), Charter Communications, Inc. (CHTR), General Motors Company (GM)

The recent SEC 13F filing of Warrant Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE:BRK.A) (NYSE:BRK.B) has shown heightened investments in DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV), Visa Inc (NYSE:V), Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR), General Motors Company (NYSE:GM). The investment firm filed its third quarter updates yesterday and the firm has current stock portfolio of $107.8 billion, as per its SEC filing.

The largest increase in Berkshire Hathaway’s portfolio was against Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR), as the firm doubled its stake in the cable provider with 4.95 million shares of the company. Buffet has changed his position in Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR), as he owned 2.30 million shares at the end of the second quarter 2014. The shares of Charter Communications are trading at $152.10 with current market cap of $16.69 billion.

DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) is another major change in Berkshire Hathaway’s portfolio as the fund added 27.83% shares of its existing second quarter stakes in the company. The shares of DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) are trading at $87.55 with P/E ratio of 16.15. Buffet increased stakes in Visa Inc (NYSE:V) and General Motors Company (NYSE:GM).

As per the recent filing, Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE:BRK.A) (NYSE:BRK.B) has its highest investment stakes in Wells Fargo & Co (NYSE:WFC), The Coca-Cola Co (NYSE:KO), International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM), American Express Company (NYSE:AXP), and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) respectively. Wells Fargo & Co (NYSE:WFC) is the largest stock holding of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. with more than 463 million shares of the company and 22.3% of the overall portfolio of the investment firm.

Buffet own 400 million shares of The Coca-Cola Co (NYSE:KO), 70 million shares of International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM), 151 million shares of American Express Company (NYSE:AXP), and 60 million shares of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) respectively. Wells Fargo & Co (NYSE:WFC).
