Mumbai: After the Supreme Court gave its verdict on the 1993 Mumbai serial bombings, that included five years of jail term for actor Sanjay Dutt for illegal possession of arms (AK-56), the Indian judiciary seems to be toughening in stance against the other members from the film fraternity involved with other acts of crime. Actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam have been slapped with fresh charges by a court in Jodhpur in connection with a blackbuck poaching case in 1998, during the filming of Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’. However, charges against Salman Khan, who was one among the 5 actors involved in the killings, wasn’t read out, as he is in the US undergoing treatment for Trigeminal neuralgia, a rare neurological disorder. On the one hand, Salman Khan has been busy visiting the court with respect to the 2002 hit-and-run case and on the other hand, he has been troubled by his health. Khan is currently at the peak of his career and has been persistently able to stick to the purple patch that he had struck with ‘Wanted’ in 2009. And since then has been delivering hits after hits. The actor has raked in the moolah with a number of other ‘Eid’ releases that include ‘Dabangg’, ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. Here’s taking a look at some of the blockbuster films the actor has produced in the recent past: Salman Khan in `Wanted`. Salman Khan in 'Dabangg 2'. Salman Khan in 'Bodyguard'. Salman Khan in 'Ek Tha Tiger'. Nonetheless, the question is whether or not the actor, on whom crores ride, will succeed in sailing through this rocky path, for it is not just about the fortunes that are banking on him – it is beyond his “starry image” – ‘Being Human’, a charitable organization.
