Power back on after 38-minute outage

WAITE PARK – A power outage that affected about 2,490 customers in Central Minnesota on Wednesday ended after 38 minutes, Xcel Energy said.

Power went out at 1:05 p.m. in Cold Spring, Rockville, St. Cloud, St. Joseph, Sartell and Waite Park, according to Xcel Energy. It was back on for all customers by 1:45, the company said.

The cause of the outage was under investigation at 1:55 p.m.
