Papa John's Q4 Results Top Estimates; Outlook Weak

Papa John's International, Inc. (PZZA) reported fourth quarter net income of $21.2 million or $0.52 per share, compared to $18.8 million or $0.41 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Fourth quarter revenues rose 9.7% to $425.5 million from $387.9 million a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.50 per share on revenue of $411.67 million for the fourth quarter.

Looking forward, the company projects 2015 earnings per share to increase to a range of $1.98 to $2.06, or increase 13% to 18% over 2014 EPS of $1.75. Total consolidated revenues are expected to increase 3% to 5% in 2015. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $2.11 per share on revenue growth of 5.10% for the full year 2015.
