Monday, March 30

Euro area reports economic confidence for March. Plus, Germany releases Consumer Price Index.

(8:30 a.m. ET) Canadian industrial product price index. Consensus is a rise of 0.5 per cent in February
(8:30 a.m. ET) Canadian raw materials price index. Consensus is an increase of 5.9 per cent in February.
(8:30 a.m. ET) U.S. personal income. Consensus is for a 0.3-per-cent rise in February.
(8:30 a.m. ET) U.S. personal spending. Consensus is for a 0.3-per-cent rise in February.
(10 a.m. ET) U.S. pending home sales. Consensus is an increase of 0.4 per cent in February.

Euro area CPI and jobless rate data. Plus, Germany reveals March unemployment and retail sales.

(9 a.m. ET) U.S. S&P Case-Shiller Home Price Index. Consensus is 0.7 per-cent-increase in January and a rise of 4.6 per cent from a year earlier.
(9:45 a.m. ET) U.S. Chicago PMI. Consensus is 52.0 for March, up from 45.8 in February.
(10 a.m. ET) U.S. Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index.  Consensus is 96.5 in March, up from 96.4 in February.

Earnings include: Amaya Inc., Gran Colombia, NovaGold, Vicwest, Conn's Inc., Freshpet Inc., Quest Resource, SYNNEX Corp., Team Inc., Vertex Energy Inc.

Wednesday, April 1

China and Japan manufacturing PMI

(8:15 a.m. ET) U.S. ADP employment report. Consensus is an increase of 225,000 jobs in March.
(9:45 a.m. ET) U.S. PMI manufacturing index.
(10 a.m. ET) U.S. ISM manufacturing index Consensus is 52.5 in March, down from 52.9 in February.
(10 a.m. ET) U.S. construction spending. Consensus is a decline of 0.2 per cent in February.
(10:30 a.m. ET) EIA petroleum status report

Canadian and U.S. auto sales for March are tentatively scheduled to be released.

Earnings include: Acuity Brands, Monsanto, Progress Software, Sportsman's Warehouse.

Thursday, April 2

(8:30 a.m. ET) Canada merchandise trade deficit. Consensus is $1.8-billion for February, down from $2.5-billion in January.
(8:30 a.m. ET) U.S. goods and services trade deficit. Consensus forecast is $41-billion for February, a decline from $41.8-billion in January.
(8:30 a.m. ET) U.S. initial jobless claims for week of March 28, forecast to increase by 3,000 jobs from previous week to 285,000.
(8:45 a.m. ET) Fed chair Yellen speaks in Washington at Fed Reserve System Community Development Research Conference.
(10 a.m. ET) U.S. factory orders. Consensus is a decline of 0.3 per cent in February.

Earnings include: CarMax Inc., Franklin Covey Co., Greenbrier Cos., Micron Tech Inc., Perry Ellis, SeaChange International.

Friday, April 3

Markets closed in Euro area, UK, Australia, Canada and United States for Good Friday

(8:30 a.m. ET) U.S. unemployment rate. Consensus is 5.5 per cent for March, same as February. Nonfarm payrolls are expected to rise by a net 247,000, down from February's 295,000.
