Boon Edam Grows Sales Force, Enterprise Account Sales

Company creates smaller regional territories for increased focus, expands Enterprise Accounts initiative.

Edam Inc. recently announced that the company is expanding and reorganizing its sales team to better meet new market demand and continued solid sales growth. Several new regional territories have been created in North America and Canada to increase the level of sales support for each geography. Also, additional sales staff have been allocated to focus on Enterprise Accounts, which are the company’s national and global corporate customers.

Enterprise Accounts Expansion
Enterprise Accounts was an initiative started in 2013 and has been led by 14-year Boon Edam veteran, Mark Perkins. Two additional Strategic Account Managers have been added to work under Perkins’ direction to establish new national and international enterprise accounts, while working in cooperation with regional Business Development Managers to ensure that Enterprise customers receive superior service at all levels.

Steve Johnston, a Business Development Manager for over three years for the US Midwest North Region and the eastern provinces of Canada, is now managing Enterprise Accounts in the Eastern USA and Canada. Mr. Johnston is based near Detroit, Michigan.

Paul Boss, a recent hire and an 18-year veteran of the industry, is formerly the Integration Manager at KRATOS. Boss will focus on Enterprise Accounts based in the Western USA and Canada, and he is based in the San Francisco area.

Regional Business Development Expansion
Boon Edam recently hired Gordon Smith, formerly of Tyco and an 18-year seasoned professional in the security industry, to serve as Business Development Manager in Eastern Canada. Mr. Smith previously served in a variety of sales, management and technical positions covering video and access control. Gordon is based in Toronto, Canada.

Linda Hardwick has been hired as the new BDM for the South Texas Region. She has been in sales for over 20 years with the last 5 years spent in the security industry. She started her career in security working for an integrator, providing solutions for video, access control and mass notification. Hardwick then joined a manufacturing rep firm where she represented product lines for Pelco, NVT, KBC Networks, Promise Technologies and Winsted. She is based in Houston, Texas.

Kevin Vandeguchte has been hired to cover the vacated Midwest North Region. Working in the Security industry for over 25 years, Vandeguchte has been involved in the design, consulting, sales, project management and service of access control, CCTV, fire alarm and intrusion alarm systems. Kevin has worked for both security integration companies and manufacturers and he brings a unique perspective on meeting client needs for both suppliers and end users of security-related systems. Vandeguchte is based in Kansas City, Missouri.

Recently hired to focus on the Southwestern region, and originally from Denver Colorado, Ted Lewis has been in the security industry for over 24 years. He has been employed at various companies including EMI, Stantron, Nice Systems, Vicon, and he’s served as an independent representative for Pelco, Exacq, Speco Paxton, and Vigilant Video. Lewis has acquired various certifications throughout his career including Pelco, Exacq, Vicon, AMAG, GE, Hirsch, and others. He is based in Valencia, California.

“We now have 14 Business Development Managers in the Americas to ensure we are aggressively pursuing every opportunity we come across,” remarked Greg Schreiber, Vice President of Sales of Boon Edam. “We’ve also recently brought focus and investment to the huge New York City market with a new, Manhattan-based sales and service office, and we now have dedicated regional coverage for Eastern Canada. Another layer of opportunity for us has been the national and global corporations across several key vertical markets – customers that can benefit from security entrances to protect their people and assets and also revolving doors to save energy and maximize usage of space. We’re pleased to expand our Enterprise Account team to better serve these important customers, and we are planning continued additions to this team in the second half of 2015.”
