ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – A 37-year-old Troy, Tennessee man admitted to scamming his former employer over a four-year period by purchasing large quantities of agricultural commodities, U.S. Attorney Richard Callahan said.
According to court documents, Coleman Carpenter admitted paying $900,000 more than he was authorized pay for agricultural commodities while acting as the manager of a grain elevator owned by Bunge North America, which is headquartered in St. Louis.
Carpenter faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 when he’s sentenced on August 28.
