Thanks to a certain right bicep, Alabama Shakes' recent "Saturday Night Live" performance not only promoted music from the band's upcoming LP, but also tattoos of the Yellowhammer State's outline.

Alabama Shakes, an Athens-based soul-infused rock group, will drop their sophomore album "Sound & Color" April 21. They performed the slinky single "Don't Wanna Fight" and dynamic ballad "Gimme All Your Love" on "SNL." Both songs are now available on iTunes for $1.29 each. You can also pre-order "Sound & Color" for $9.99.

Of course, the Shakes are just the latest in a decades-long line of artists to become closely associated with ink.
