TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona men and women’s diving team will host the Wildcat Diving Invitational this weekend from Fri. Nov. 21st at noon MST continuing through Sun. Nov. 23rd at 3:30 p.m. MST at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.
The Wildcats will be hosting divers from NAU, Boise State University, Cal, Brigham Young University, New Mexico, Idaho, UNLV and NMSU. Including members of the Arizona diving team, there will be 42 divers competing.
In their last meet against USC, Arizona diver Rafael Quintero took first in the 3 meter dive with 332.55 and 1 meter dive with 360.23, while Carter Craft finished third in each event with 305.70 and 341.55, respectively. Samantha Pickens won the 3 meter dive with a score of 313.88. In the tri meet against UNLV and Utah, Samantha Pickens took first in the 3 meter with a score of 315.20 and the 1 meter (294.05). Sally Hacket took second in the 3 meter finishing with 281.25. On the men’s side, Rafael Quintero placed first in the 3 meter with a score of 360.70 and finished second in the 1 meter with 351.00.
