Ecolab Inc. (ECL) announced it has acquired controlling interest in Jianghai Environmental Protection Co. Ltd., an industrial water treatment company headquartered in Changzhou. The company said the acquisition complements its current industrial water treatment offerings under the Nalco name, and strengthens long-term growth opportunities in the China market.
Jianghai provides water treatment technologies, chemistries and services to several industries in China, including customers in power and chemicals. Jianghai has more than 550 employees and operates two manufacturing plants in Changzhou.
