‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Ranking Nick Viall, Shawn Booth, Joe Bailey, other Kaitlyn Bristowe suitors
Tonight, “The Bachelorette” will air what is their “most important episode of the season” … but with the show’s love for hyperbole more or less being what it is at this point, you could really say this about just about anything that they put on the air. This is a series that loves and embraces drama, so you better believe that there is going to be a lot of that regardless of what episode we’re talking about.
What we figured we would do at this point, given that there are only five contenders left this season, is devise some sort of ranking of the people left. Let’s make it clear here that this is spoiler-free, and rather than trying to figure out necessarily who Kaitly nBristowe is going to pick, we’re going to talk more about who she should pick based on the relationship that she has with each one of the remaining guys.
5. Joe Bailey – It’s great that Joe made it this far. We like Joe. However, he hasn’t had any time with her beyond a two-on-one date, and even he has to know that there is almost no chance that he makes it to overnights at this point. There’s not enough evidence that their relationship is something worthy of making it that far in the season.
4. Ben Higgins – We’ve seen some serious moments with him, but he has also come off as rather quiet and not tremendously exciting. Is there really any reason why she would pick him over anyone else right now? We’re struggling with that.
3. Nick Viall – Obviously the track record is why we’re worried about Kaitlyn and Nick, and realistically he is probably either #2 or #1 in her rankings at this point in the season. The passion is clearly there even more so than many other guys, but there are also so many red flags.
2. Jared Haibon – Jared’s probably not in Kaitlyn’s top two. He may not even be in his top three! He’s just so likable and he cares about her so much! The problem is that he cannot force her to feel the same way about him that he does about her. We worry that the feelings just aren’t reciprocated.
1. Shawn Booth – This just feels like a no-brainer. The passion is here on the same level as Nick, and he’s also an emotional wreck seeing other guys with her. Maybe this is a concern when it comes to how he handles adversity, but she should also be looking at this as proof that he loves her and doesn’t want to share her with others.
