Here's a quick roundup of notable performances within the Mets' farm system this week:
* RHP Jenrry Mejia, Triple-A Las Vegas
Mejia, who is nearing the end of his 80-game suspension for PED use, has impressed in four relief appearances in the minors. Mejia tossed a scoreless inning and struck out one batter in Las Vegas' 12-2 win over Tacoma Thursday.
Mejia, 25, is eligible to return to the Mets on July 7 and will likely assume the setup role upon activation.
* OF Michael Conforto, Double-A Binghamton
The Mets' top hitting prospect continues to consistently deliver at the plate for the B-Mets. Conforto went 1-for-4 with two RBI in the B-Mets' 5-0 win over Erie Thursday.
Conforto is batting .327 with an .933 OPS and three home runs and 18 RBI after 30 games in Double-A.
* RHP Gabriel Ynoa, Double-A Binghamton
Ynoa tossed a one-hit, complete-game shutout against Erie Thursday, striking out six and walking none to lead the B-Mets to a 5-0 win. The 22-year-old right-hander surrendered a double in the third inning but held Erie hitless through the final six innings.
Ynoa improved to 5-5 and lowered his ERA to 4.12 with the spectacular outing.
* RHP Michael Fulmer, Double-A Binghamton
Fulmer has been terrific over his last four starts, allowing just one run on 15 hits while walking four and striking out 26. In his most recent start against Akron on June 29, Fulmer tossed seven shutout innings, surrendering just three hits and striking out nine to lead the B-Mets to a 1-0 win.
Fulmer, 22, is sporting a 2.53 ERA after 10 starts at Binghamton this season.
