Cantel Medical adds division president, promotes second exec

Little Falls-based health care company Cantel Medical Corp. has named a pair of executives to its leadership team, it announced Monday.David C. Hemink will serve as president of the company’s Medivators division, while Michael G. Spicer has been promoted to president, Americas Sales and Global Service, the company said in a news release.

“We are very pleased to be able to attract such high-quality people to strengthen our executive team and structure,” Jorgen Hansen, president and chief operating officer of Cantel Medical, said in a prepared statement. “With their extensive experience and prior successes, we expect Dave and Mike will each play a major role in the planning and implementation of the growth of Cantel.”

In his new role, Hemink will be responsible for the entire endoscopy business worldwide, Cantel said. He has more than 20 years of experience in the health care and medical device industries. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and president-electrophysiology at Boston Scientific.

Spicer, who had been senior vice president of sales and service for Medivators, will now oversee not just endoscopy sales, but Cantel’s global service business and Latin America division sales. He has been with the company since October 2013, it said, and had worked with companies such as Smith & Nephew and Boston Scientific before that.
