A purported render of BlackBerry's fully Android-powered slider smartphone dubbed Venice, has surfaced online.

Rumors of a new BlackBerry smartphone powered by the Android operating system have been doing rounds for quite some time now, however it looks like things have finally started to take shape.

If rumors floating around are anything to go by, BlackBerry's Android phone is dubbed Blackberry Venice. Another rumor suggest that the device would be headed to AT&T for an official launch later this year sometime in November, further tipping off specs like a possible 5.4-inch screen with QHD resolution and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor.

In case those piece of hardware end up in a launch phone, it places the BlackBerry handset to be in either in mid-range or high-end phones, AndroidHeadlines noted.

The most recent leak does not throw more light on leaked specs but rather leaked images, showing a small portion of the upcoming smartphone.

Evan Blass, the person behind the renowned account @evleaks posted a picture that features a part of the display of the phone along with a three row keypad similar to a BlackBerry Passport. He also posted that the BlackBerry Venice slider will soon be available on US carrier AT&T.

The phone's screen pictured in the leaked render shows off the three Android navigation buttons making the claim appear more credible, TheTimesOfIndia noted.

It's hard to gauge customer's reactions to a full QWERTY keyboard in an age where most smartphone users are now used to a full-touch interface. Moreover, if the rumored November release date turns out to be true, then it won't be too long before BlackBerry actually unveils the phone officially.

Though all signs have been pointing to yes, the specs and images doing rounds should still be considered as rumors and should be taken with a grain of salt.
