Fourth of July Weekend Celebration at Riverfront Park Today-Sunday. Daily international food vendor public market. Amusement park day passes for $11. Activities in the Gondola meadow noon-8 p.m. today, noon-9 p.m. Saturday (with free American flags for kids, pie eating contest from 2-3 p.m., hot dog eating contest 3-4 p.m.) and noon-9 p.m. Sunday. Activities in the Lilac Bowl on Saturday include live entertainment 5-7:30 p.m., followed by Fourth of July Community Ceremony, featuring remarks from Spokane Mayor David Condon and Fairchild Air Force Base Commander Charles B. Coeur d’Alene Fourth of July American Heroes Parade at 11 a.m. beginning at 15th Street, down Sherman Avenue to Government Way. Festival in the Coeur d’Alene City Park all day beginning at 10 a.m. with live music, vendors and activities. Fireworks over the lake at dusk (approximately 9:45 p.m.). Liberty Lake Fourth of July Country music by T. Scot Wilburn and the Shut Up -N- Playboys at 6 p.m. will be followed at 7:30 p.m. by Milonga playing fusion of rhythms from Latin America, Spain, and the Caribbean; followed by fireworks over the lake at approximately 10:10 p.m. This year will offer the best view of the fireworks from Pavillion Park. The city of Liberty Lake is sponsoring the fireworks and they will be staged just three blocks away. Alcohol is prohibited in the park. Bring low-back chairs, blankets and a picnic supper. Red, White and Views The breezeway, floating stage and rooftop will be site of the annual Fourth of July fireworks show starting at 7 p.m. Guaranteed seating through reserved seats and reserved tables, starting at $10. Kellogg Fourth of July Celebration Family-friendly entertainment during the day; fireworks at dusk. Activities include Firecracker 5K fun run, “More than Just Pancakes” pancake breakfast hosted by the Kellogg Elks, Kids Foot Race (uptown before the parade), Star Spangled Community Parade, music, food, vendor booths and children’s activities in the park, petting zoo and pony rides, pool is open with free admission, basketball shootout in the park with great prizes and a Horseshoe tournament. Davenport’s Red, White & Boom! Family Celebration Fourth of July family celebration with free admission. Color Me Patriotic 4K Run at 9 a.m. ($15 registration). There will be a Fun Zone with activities for kids, live music from 1-5 p.m. with Garrett Bartley Band (country), and 5-9 p.m. with Armed & Dangerous (classic rock). Barbecue available for purchase. Bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the day. It is a drug- and alcohol-free zone. After the event at dusk, set off your own fireworks on the softball field for all to enjoy. Endicott Fourth of July Presented by the Endicott Community Club and Park and Recreation. Children’s games and parade in the afternoon, food served beginning at 3 p.m., Community Club will serve homemade pies from 5-7 p.m., ice cream social at 7 p.m. Dunk tank will be open all day. Mount St. Michaels Fourth of July Centennial Celebration Carnival-style evening with gates open at 4 p.m. for tours. Food, drinks and games are available for purchase. The gift shop and coffee shop will also be open. A concert at will be presented at 9 p.m. by the Singing Nuns, and enjoy a bluff view of the city fireworks. Fourth of July Carillon Concert at St. John’s Cathedral By Wesley Arai, associate carillonist at the University of California, Berkeley. The highlight of this year’s program will be “The Stars and Stripes Forever” played as a duet with cathedral carillonneur, Bryl Cinnamon. Enjoy a picnic on the lawn across 12th Avenue from the cathedral. Fireworks at 10 p.m. are best viewed from the roadway along the north side of the cathedral.
