GREER – A giant pink, stuffed monkey stolen from a Greer cupcake shop last week has been found.

The bright pink monkey, which was stolen last Friday, has long been a fixture outside the Cupcake Castle on East Poinsett Street in Greer.

The owners said Greer police tracked the stuffed monkey down and returned it to the store on Tuesday. The owners said police found the nearly 4-foot-tall stuffed animal in someone’s garage.

The monkey usually sits in a chair outside the bakery, but will now stay inside until the owners can find a way to secure it to the chair.

There’s no word on any suspects or charges.
