A Walden man is facing drug-related and traffic charges following a traffic stop on Highway 69 in Shawanaga First Nation earlier this month.

West Parry Sound OPP said in a release Friday that they stopped Dillon Moore, 21, for speeding on Dec. 13 at about 3:20 p.m.

Officers then seized both marijuana and hashish.

Moore is charged with speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario, two counts of possession of a Schedule II substance as per the Controlled Drug and Substance Act, and driving a motor vehicle with an unsealed container of liquor contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.

Moore was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on Feb. 5.
