Sears Holdings Corp. (SHLD) announced Monday morning that it has entered into lease agreements with Primark for seven standalone stores.
Sears also announced that its board of directors has approved a rights offering allowing its stockholders to purchase up to $625 million in aggregate principal amount of 8% senior unsecured notes due 2019 and warrants to purchase shares of its common stock.
Sears climbed for the majority of Monday's session, but profit taking set in going into the close. The stock finished up by 6.55 at $34.96 on above average volume. Sears rose to over a 1-month high and re-crossed its 50-day moving average.
