Salem Bocce League holding annual Father’s Day Tournament
The Salem Bocce League will be holding its annual Father’s Day Tournament on Saturday, June 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church (600 State Street).
The tournament is open invitation so both novice and experience players are welcomed to play. There will be a Lower Division (novice) and an Upper Division (experienced) bracket in the tournament. Tournament spots are on a first-come first-serve basis for start times and the fee to enter the tournament is $5 per person or $10 per couple.

Volcanoes seeking host families for the 2015 season
The Volcanoes are seeking host families the upcoming season which begins on June 17. Host families provide a true home for players as they begin their first season in pro baseball. Additionally, host families gain access to a variety of in season perks.
Players arrive in early June and depart in early September. While in the Willamette Valley, the Volcanoes play 76 games in 81 days with 38 being at home and 38 on the road. Cascade Tennis Camp
The Cascade Tennis program will be hosting a tennis camp for students entering grades 2 through 9. The camp will run from 7 to 9 p.m. on June 15 through June 18 and will be held at the Cascade High School Tennis Courts.
Cost to attend the camp is $40 per camper (make checks payable to Cascade High School) with a $5 off family discount for each extra child brought to camp. Those campers registered by June 9 will receive a camp shirt.
Players will need to bring their own racquets and proper tennis attire/shoes. All players will be divided into ability groups. Annual St. Paul Rodeo Trail Ride accepting participants
The St. Paul Rodeo Trail Ride is an annual event that brings out hundreds of riders both young and old along the six mile course. The tradition dates back to the early days of the St. Paul Rodeo, when the bucking horses were brought into town for the rodeo.
This year’s event will be held on June 7 with a breakfast at 7 a.m. and the trail ride at 10 a.m. The trail ride is free but there will be a cost for the breakfast. For more information, visit StPaulRodeo.com. This year’s St. Paul Rodeo will be held on June 30-July 4.

South Salem 10, Dallas 6: The Saxons continued their winning ways as they knocked off the Dragons at home.
Hayden Walker and Josh Raynak each went 2-for-3 to lead South Salem offensively.
