ITEXPO Announcement: Taqua Integrates Sansay into the TaquaWorks Next Generation Solution

While it’s an excellent show simply for the presentations and speakers it showcases, ITEXPO is also a launching ground for new products and collaborations. This week’s show in Miami was no exception as Taqua LLC, a leading supplier of IP-based mobile and fixed communications systems, apps, and services, announced that the company has integrated Sansay’s VSXi SBC platform with Taqua’s next-generation TaquaWorks Class 4/5 solution.

“Taqua continues to deliver the industry’s best performing  IP communications solutions by integrating proven technologies from innovative market leaders,” said Frederick Reynolds, vice president of marketing at Taqua, in a statement about the move. “Sansay’s SBC works seamlessly with our core switch, offering carrier-class services that can scale quickly and cost-effectively to support CSPs at any stage of business growth.”

TaquaWorks is a tightly integrated switching solution that leverages the company’s flagship Taqua T7000 Intelligent Switching System, a full featured Class 4/5 packet and TDM voice switching system. Taqua utilizes BroadSoft BroadWorks suite of VoIP applications as an enhanced services platform for enterprise customers, and Sansay’s VSXI session border controller for access and inter-carrier call security, interoperability and routing.

“Sansay is committed to delivering the most flexible communications solutions on the market, along with unmatched support,” said Sansay VP of Sales, Allen Johnston. “Taqua’s decision to move forward with us validates our position as a new market leader in SBC performance, product quality and support.

Several incumbent carriers have already deployed the TaquaWorks solution with Sansay’s VSXi SBC. Houston-based LOGIX COMMUNICATIONS, an integrated communications services provider, has deployed a TaquaWorks network that consists of multiple T7000 and VSXi systems, and a centralized BroadWorks system to consolidate voicemail and deliver enterprise features. In addition to LOGIX, Dalton Utilities in Georgia, Mornington Communications in Canada, and Illinois-based iT-V3 Communications have all purchased TaquaWorks with Sansay’s VSXI.

ITEXPO continues in Miami through Friday, January 30.
