Delhi University has decided to go ahead with the introduction of choice-based credit system (CBCS) from the upcoming academic session apparently without the "mandate" of the varsity's executive council.

In an official communication to Deans of all faculties on April 29, DU's joint registrar (academics) has directed them to start preparations for its implementation.

HOD has been told to start the process of preparation of syllabi for all the undergraduate courses within the structure laid down by University Grants Commission (UGC).

However, members of the Executive Council and Acadamic Council said that matter has not been discussed with them as if now.

DUTA has already submitted memorandum to UGC to not to implement CBCS from coming academic session.

SFI (studend wing of DU) is also not in the favor of CBCS.

Now Dean has to work on syllabi and submit their report as soon as possible.
