As part of their annual charity, PetSmart in Flemington will be selling plush toys, giving customers the opportunity to purchase a second toy that will be donated to Hunterdon Medical Center.

The stuffed animals will be designated for children admitted to the pediatric unit or who visit the emergency department at the hospital. There are many different options to purchase including Chance the dog, Lucky the cat, a Martha Stewart bear and a signature Brett Michaels bear. Prices range from $5 to $8.99.

In addition, on Saturday, Oct. 18, from noon-1 p.m., volunteers from Hunterdon Medical Center’s Ernest L. Wells Pet Therapy Program will be at PetSmart with two therapy dogs and information on the program.

PetSmart is located at 132 Route 31, Flemington.

The toy drive will run until Dec. 24, or while supplies lasts. Ten percent of all proceeds go to support homeless pets as part of PetSmart Charities’ Luv-a-Pet program.
