A. Schulman Inc. (SHLM) Pulled Back On Weaker Than Expected Q1 Revenues

A. Schulman Inc. (SHLM) reported first quarter adjusted earnings from continuing operations of $0.63 per share after the bell Tuesday, compared to $0.57 per share last year. Analysts expected EPS of $0.60. Revenues grew 5 percent to $615.05 million from $585.40 million a year ago. Analysts expected revenues of $644.40 million

The company also affirmed its full year adjusted EPS forecast of $2.60 to $2.65. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $2.61.

A. Schulman fell sharply in the first half hour of trade Wednesday, before settling into a range. Shares ended the day lower by 1.77 at $34.54 on above average volume. The stock has been declining for the past week and sank to over a 2-month low.
