CSX Corp. (CSX) Is Heading Higher After Q3 Earnings Beat Expectations

CSX Corp. (CSX) reported third quarter EPS of $0.51 after the close Tuesday, up from $0.45 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of 0.48. The stock is now up 0.73 on 271K shares.

CSX posted modest gains at the open Tuesday, but settled into a range for the majority of the session. The stock finished up by 0.91 at $32.61 on above average volume. CSX closed challenging the upper end of a 1-month range at the highs of the year.
