Tottenham are the latest Premier League club to reveal their new kits for the 2014-15 season, as momentum gathers toward the upcoming campaign at White Hart Lane.

The North London side's official Twitter account tweeted the home design, as modelled by Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen:

This was followed by Paulinho's stern appearance in the away strip:

Both designs were inspired by former player and manager Bill Nicholson, according to Spurs' website. The kits coincide with the 10th anniversary of Nicholson's death and reference a memorable quote from the man himself, which reads, "It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory."

Although the designs were never going to variate too wildly from Spurs' classic colours, supporters will notice a handful of changes. This year's home shirt features a more noticeable collar which is defined by the yellow trim that runs from the neck and across the sleeves, noted in Emmanuel Adebayor's excited promotional shot:

A navy blue stripe runs horizontally across the chest, flanked by a jacquard on the neck which features the words "Echoes of Glory," lifted from Nicholson's aforementioned quote. Spurs' site notes an "additional colour flash" when the kit's yellow-trimmed socks are included, which can be seen via AIA's tweet:

The away shirt also keeps Nicholson close to heart. Eleven yellow stripes can be seen at the top of the shirt, each one representing a trophy captured during his time at the club. Yellow also plays a prominent role throughout and is utilised down the sides of the black design.

Insurance providers AIA Group replace HP as the shirt's sponsor after taking over as principle backer in February. This logo was previously used during Spurs' 2013-14 Europa League campaign.

Spurs will hope the memory of Nicholson can inspire them to success. Mauricio Pochettino begins his reign aiming to land a place in the Champions League, an extremely difficult task considering the top four's summer strengthening.

Although Spurs are the only Premier League side yet to sign any new acquisitions, Pochettino will be confident of galvanising a squad that is compromised of many top-class talents.
