Triangle Restaurant News: Lobster food truck headed to Triangle

RALEIGH, N.C. — Keep your eyes open for a new food truck heading to the Triangle. Cousins Maine Lobster, which appeared on ABC's "Shark Tank," is expanding its footprint to the area, according to its website.

More food truck news:

The owners of the Wicked Biscuit food truck announced via Twitter this weekend that the business has closed. One more closure: Baguettaboutit Cafe has closed its doors in the RTP.
Kokyu BBQ food truck opened a sandwich shop this week in Durham. Kokyu Na'Mean is open for lunch Monday through Friday at 4823 Meadow Drive.

Restaurant news:

Noodles & Company is opening a new location at Parkside Town Commons in Cary next week. The location, which will also offer catering, is expected to open Monday.
Ashley Christensen's Death & Taxes and Bridge Club will host pop-up dinners with guest chefs throughout April. Diners will get a sneak peek at the new restaurant and menu.
True Flavors Diner has opened at 5410 Hwy. 55 in south Durham. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and Saturday brunch.
The upscale bar and nightclub The Strowd has opened above Sutton's Drug Store on East Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, The Daily Tar Heel reports.
Blackjack Brewing Company is planning to hold a soft opening before Wednesday, April 1, the brewery announced via Twitter.
Monuts Donuts has announced new operating hours. Monuts will be open 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Sundays. The restaurant will be closed Mondays.

Closings

Straw Valley Food and Drink and The Black House at Straw Valley in Durham are closing for restructuring and improvements to the facility, owners announced Monday. Although the restaurant is closed, Straw Valley Project LLC managing partner Scott Bednaz says his company will still use the facilities for wine tastings, dinners and private events.
518 West in Glenwood South will close its doors next month. The last day of operation is Sunday, April 5.
TerraFin Station in Garner and Quail Corners Creamery in Raleigh have also closed, Triangle Food Guy reports.
