hello. i have NETGEAR N150 Wireless ADSL2 + Modem Router ( Model: DGN1000v3). Its been 8 months i have not encountered a single problem until today. On the netgear genie, i opted to upgrade the firmware(unable to remember the firmware number). accidentally the power goes out and router switched off.

This is where the problem occurs. the router switches on but the power light changes to red and then green and thereafter only starts blinking green. it does display any other lights. i am unable to hard reset the router. Searching the web it might be a "firmware corruption" but i am not sure. i have tried the method of trying to upload the firmware from the PC using TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol) but to no avail.

I would like to know if this problem is solvable? If the firmware is corrupted completely beyond repair, is there anyway to salvage the router to atleast perform as a modem. do i need to provide anymore details of the problem? any help is appreciated. thanks

If the power went out when the firmware was upgrading, it's likely corrupted and there's not much you can do for it as a consumer, and it sounds like you've tried all methods available.

If it is still under warranty you might be able to get it repaired or replaced.

Otherwise you'll need to replace it.
