Office buildings near Nashville airport sell for $9.7M

A group that includes local investors has acquired a pair of office buildings in the Nashville International Airport area for $9.7 million.

MAC Owner LLC, whose registered agent is real estate broker Perry Gooch of DTZ (formerly Cassidy Turley), bought Metropolitan Airport Center I and Metropolitan Airport Center II from Toronto-based financial services company Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada. Investors in MAC Owner include university pension funds.

The buildings have 79,760 square feet of space that is roughly 95 percent occupied. The main tenants include hospital chain HCA, telecommunications company XO Communications and third-party administrator HealthScope Benefits.

Metropolitan Airport Center I is at 811 Royal Parkway, while the Metropolitan Airport Center II is at 2875 Elm Hill Pike.

Cushman & Wakefield | Cornerstone represented the seller in the transaction. DTZ has been hired to handle management and leasing of the buildings.
