PNC Financial Services Group (PNC) reported third quarter EPS of $1.79 Wednesday morning, up from $1.77 last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.71.

PNC Financial Services Group declined until around 1:00PM Wednesday, but settled into a range for the remainder of the afternoon. Shares finished with a loss of 3.59 at $78.00 on the highest volume of the year. The stock has been losing ground for nearly a month and set over an 8-month low.
