Church care center benefits from grant

The First Presbyterian Children’s Care Center and Preschool in Howell was selected to receive a grant from the Hanover Insurance Group Foundation. Hanover’s Volunteer Incentive Program is a competitive process that recently recognized Livingston County resident Simone Shetler for her volunteer efforts and commitment to help bring positive change to the community.

Simone has worked at Hanover’s Citizens Insurance in Howell for 10 years. Upon selection, Simone received a $500 grant for the organization for which she is a volunteer, the First Presbyterian Children’s Care Center and Preschool. She has a vested interest in that organization’s success because both of her children are involved with the center on a daily basis. Her dedication to the community is evident in her commitment to help others, which was a factor in the selection for the grant.
