Clinton Student Inducted into Honor Society

Jon Pulaski of Clinton was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Middlesex Community College.

Jon Pulaski of Clinton was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Middlesex Community College during a ceremony held on April 17, making this the largest number of students the Middlesex chapter has inducted in its 20 year history. This international honor society represents scholastic success and academic success at two-year colleges.

Since its inception, the chapter has been an active part of the Middletown campus. Members have participated in campus-wide student-sponsored events such as distributing food baskets and gifts to area families, registering voters, assisting at blood drives, and serving as ushers and greeters at formal functions on campus. This year, members held fundraisers to provide two $500 scholarships for qualified Phi Theta Kappa students. The members also collected food and books that were distributed to Amazing Grace Food Pantry and local children’s organizations.

“Phi Theta Kappa is the oldest, largest and most prestigious honor society serving two- year colleges around the world,” said Professor Patty Raymond. “These extraordinary students have fulfilled all requirements for membership and have been selected because they have chosen scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship as their hallmarks.”
