Ceiling tint and lightening hallway color?

We are painting a large open living room and dining room valspar woodland snow with ultra white moldings. How much should we tint the ceiling paint to still have some nice contrast but not be either too light or too dark? We also have a narrow hallway that we want to paint the same color, but I think we need to cut it with white to avoid making the hallway seem too dark? What do you think?

The ceiling paint and entry paint you choose will depend on the lighting in your home. View paint colors in your home in natural and artificial light.

I have read ceiling paint tinting 10% is good and others say 40-50%. It all depends on the look you want + the lighting in your home + your furniture + your carpets/floor + your art.
