SUGARCREEK TWP.CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – The outdoor apparel and equipment store filed a petition to open a 72,000 square foot retail store there.

The City of Centerville has signed off on the petition.

The announcement comes on the heels of Kroger’s move to open a grocery at the shopping center. The store will join Costco which is already in business.

Cabela’s specializes in the sales of hunting, fishing, camping and other outdoor merchandise.  The store will be the retailer’s first in the Dayton market.

Construction has begun on the 4,500 square foot mixed-retail project known as Shoppes I on the southern side of Wilmington Pike.

Other businesses to come include Great Clips, Chick-Fil-A, Bagger Dave’s Burger Tavern, and Archer’s Tavern.
