Memphis Redbirds News Release
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds split a doubleheader with the visiting Omaha Storm Chasers on Sunday at AutoZone Park, losing 2-1 in the opener, and winning 4-1 in the twinbill finale.
Memphis (15-23) rode a three-run rally for a victory in the doubleheader finale, highlighted by a two-base, two-run fielding error on an RBI single by Xavier Scruggs. Matt Williams and Dean Anna, who both came home on the play, previously reached on base hits.
Both teams traded a run in the third. Omaha took a 1-0 lead on a single combined with a Nick Greenwood throwing error. Memphis would cash in an inning-opening walk in the next frame on a Cody Stanley RBI groundout.
Tyler Waldron (1-3) tossed 2 1/3 innings of scoreless ball in relief of Greenwood for his first win of the season. Marcus Hatley worked a shutout seventh for his third save of the season.

Omaha starter Yohan Pino moved to 2-0 on the season with one run on four hits in five innings.
