BSF hands over Pak child to his father

The Border Security Force (BSF) has handed over a four-year-old Sindhi boy to the Pakistani Rangers after he had inadvertently entered the international border on Sunday and shivering in the cold. The BSF personnel found him sitting near the international border 100 yards close to the fence and crying early on Sunday morning, officials said.

They immediately contacted the Pakistan Rangers who identified him as Ali Gohar, son of Sajjan, a resident of Dandari village in Badin district of Sindh province in Pakistan.

A flag meeting between the Pakistani Rangers led by Lt. Colonel Baig Mirza Laeeq and the BSF team lead by L Sitlhou, second in-charge along with deputy commandant Himanshu Gaur held near Bigha Kot on Sunday to hand over the boy to the Pakistani authorities.

The BSF had provided the boy new clothes, toys and biscuits before being handed over to his father in presence of Pakistan Rangers, said BSF officials.
