AMI shares resume trading

Australian Mining Investments (AMI) shares will resume trading today after the mining explorer released an update on its Rocklands copper project in Queensland.

AMI, which is changing its name to CuDeco Ltd, released the update in response to an Australian Stock Exchange query on the classification of its mineral resources and drill results under the Joint Ore Reserve Committee (JORC) Code.

CuDeco went into a trading halt on July 5 and later a suspension from trading, following a share price spike spurred by speculation about the potential of its Rocklands copper project in Cloncurry, Queensland.

Investors piled into the stock following the release of a report on June 29 indicating that the project was much bigger than initially expected.
