In early trading on Friday, shares of Altera (ALTR) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 4.2%. Year to date, Altera registers a 32.5% gain.
And the worst performing Nasdaq 100 component thus far on the day is Western Digital (WDC), trading down 1.5%. Western Digital is lower by about 11.7% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Wynn Resorts (WYNN), trading down 1.5%, and Avago Technologies (AVGO), trading up 2.7% on the day.
