Robert Duane Morris Jr., 69, of Albany died Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House.
He was born to Robert and Alpha Helene (Landsverk) Morris Sr. in Oregon City and graduated from Grant High School in Portland. Following two years at Willamette University, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. He served his country for six years and was honorably discharged.
His career in sales and marketing was focused in the engineering field and spanned 38 years. Robert spent 27 years working for Precision Castparts in Portland and Phoenix, Arizona, and then spent eight years with Hitchiner Manufacturing in Milford, New Hampshire. He worked for Pacific Cast Technologies in Albany and then Sandvik Medical Solutions in Oregon City, retiring in 2009.
Robert was a member of the Oregon City Elks and he also loved supporting the Special Olympics.
He is survived by his brother, Michael Morris and wife Barbara of Portland; three nieces and one nephew.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
