NEW PALTZ >> Absentee ballot applications for the Jan. 27 New Paltz Central School District bond proposition vote are available at district offices, 1 Eugene Brown Drive, according to the Board of Education.

Absentee ballot applications can also be downloaded on the district website at www.newpaltz.k12.ny.us by clicking under “Announcements.”

All absentee ballot applications must be received by the district clerk at least seven days before the vote if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the vote if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter. They must be received by the district clerk no later than 5 p.m. Jan. 27.

The proposition was defeated in October when district residents voted 1,380 to 1,230 against a $52.9 million proposition to renovate and update each of the district’s four schools.

Questions about absentee ballot applications should be directed to the district clerk at (845) 256-4031.
