PETALING JAYA: The good behaviour bond that a High Court granted a teenager who admitted to raping his stepsister should not be automatically seen as a light punishment, said a criminal lawyer.
Amer Hamzah Arshad said the court had discretion to grant good behaviour bonds in criminal cases to both juvenile and adults under Section 294A of the Criminal Procedure Code.
