"Orange Is The New Black" (OITNB) is starting the year right. Its string of successes at the most recent awards shows have given the show more exposure that will only add to its appeal especially since it's coming up with Season 3 this summer.

The Netflix prison comedy has snagged major awards at the Producers Guild Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards. The show won several awards in multiple categories on Saturday's PGA, including Outstanding Producer for Episodic Television Comedy, an award that "Modern Family" has enjoyed for four years.

On Sunday, it won two major awards at the Screen Actors Guild Awards: Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for Uzo Aduba, who plays, Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren. Incidentally, she also won an Emmy last year for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.

The show's biggest win was Best Comedy Ensemble. By winning this award for best ensemble, OINTB ended the "Modern Family's" four-year winning streak. The show also made history as having the biggest credited cast to win the award. The show has 40 members.

All these wins could only signal good things for the upcoming season. The show already has received critical acclaims and a loyal following that are highly anticipating the show's return.

Fresh from her win, Uzo Aduba is returning in Season 3 as a main character. Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause, is coming back and she'll definitely be thinking about Piper's betrayal.

Fans are also going to be happy with a number of the cast being promoted to series regulars like Samira Wiley, Adrienne Moore, Yael Stone and Dascha Polanco. Australian model Ruby Rose has also been confirmed as one of the newest cast members. She will play inmate Stella Carlin, an interesting figure who will catch the attention of the other inmates.

She joins new cast members Mary Steenburgen, Blair Brown and Mike Birbiglia.

Despite not having a specific date for Season 3, Netflix confirmed that the ladies of Litchfield Penitentiary will be coming back in the summer.
