Comcast NBCUniversal Taps Mitch Rose as SVP of Government Affairs [Manufacturing Close - Up](Manufacturing Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Mitch Rose will join Comcast NBCUniversal as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, NBCUniversal. Rose currently provides strategic consulting services to a range of clients, including Comcast, NCTA, and RIAA, as the principal of Mitch Rose Strategic Consulting. Before establishing his own firm, Rose was Vice President, Government Relations, for The Walt Disney Company. Rose will be located in the Comcast NBCUniversal government affairs office in Washington, DC. He will report directly to David L. Cohen, Executive Vice President of Comcast Corp., as well as to Kim Harris, NBCUniversal's Executive Vice President and General Counsel, who is responsible for coordinating NBCUniversal government affairs. Cohen said, "Mitch's extensive background working in the private and public sectors for Members of Congress, in the media and broadcast industry, and as a valued consultant has demonstrated his deft handling of important issues and strong understanding of the subjects, both domestic and international, that we face.
