Iridium Communications, Inc. (IRDM) Misses Q2 EPS by 4c

Iridium Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: IRDM) reported Q2 EPS of $0.14, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.18. Revenue for the quarter came in at $102.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $98.28 million.

Operational EBITDA ("OEBITDA") for the second quarter was $54.7 million, as compared to $51.1 million for the prior-year period, representing a year-over-year increase of 7 percent and an OEBITDA margin(1) of 53 percent. OEBITDA grew largely due to higher service revenue.
