Deals Rumor Mill: PetSmart, E.On, Blackstone Group

LP and Clayton Dubilier & Rice LLC have joined forces to place a more than $7.5 billion bid to buy PetSmart Inc., according to a Wednesday report from Reuters. The duo will officially submit their offer next month, the report said, while Apollo Global Management LLC and BC Partners Ltd. are also still considering placing bids of their own.
