First-grade students in Betty Wilson’s class at East Side Elementary in Magnolia recently studied a literacy unit entitled “American Contributors.”
To enforce the concept of learning to be kind and compassionate members of society, the students created two cards each and sent them to patients at Arkansas Children’s Hospital for Valentine’s Day.
Linley Crisp, executive director of Compassion’s Foundation, Inc., was a special guest speaker in the classroom.
