Watch: Pilot proposes to Alaska Air flight attendant over PA, mid-flight

Alaska Airline flight attendant Brandy Hollenbeck got the surprise of her life Wednesday while working the drinks cart mid-flight. When the pilot's voice came over the public address system, it wasn't to alert the passengers, but Hollenbeck.

The New York Daily News says pilot Eric Greener describes meeting the flight attendant when she was eating a double cheeseburger in an Anchorage International Airport terminal.

The story sounded familiar to Hollenbeck, who then told a passenger, "This guy is telling my love story." Despite recognizing the anecdote, Hollenbeck continued to serve coffee, kirotv.com reports.

Greener then popped the question: "Brandy Hollenbeck, I've loved you since the moment I met you and I want to be the man for you for the rest of your life. Will you marry me?"

The proposing pilot then strolled out of the cockpit and Hollenbeck can be seen running down the aisle. Passengers erupted into applause, cheering on the happy couple.

The Daily News says Hollenbeck was so caught up in disbelief that she forgot to say yes. A passenger nudged her to answer, Hollenbeck says.

The couple lives together in Anchorage, Alaska Dispatch News reports. They work rotating schedules of two weeks on, two weeks off. Hollenbeck says the couple has a "really great relationship."

The proposal was filmed by a Seattle supervisor who had been notified of the surprise, the Dispatch News says.

"The pilots were in on it, the gate agents were in on it, everyone was coordinating this proposal," Hollenbeck says. "I had no idea."
